How to Make the Most out of an Appointment at UGCSF

Visiting a urogynecologist may not be your favorite part of a to-do list, but if you are experiencing pain, discomfort or an interrupted daily routine due to unpleasant urogynecological symptoms, don’t put off a visit to Dr. Wittenberg at the Urogynecology Center of San Francisco. We’ve carefully designed an office experience that caters to our patients’ needs and comfort, including identifying the following steps patients can take to make the most of an appointment at UGCSF.

  1. I know I need to make an appointment – how do I do it?

There are a few different ways patients can make an appointment with UGCSF. You can call our office at 415-395-9895 to speak with a member of our staff who can help arrange an appointment for you. You can visit our website’s contact page and fill out a contact form asking to schedule an appointment. Or you can visit the FollowMyHealth patient portal and log in to book an appointment.

  1. OK, my appointment is booked. What’s next?

Once your appointment is booked, you have the option of downloading and filling out patient forms from the comfort and privacy of your own home. This also saves time during your visit to UGCSF, as your paperwork will already be complete and ready to submit at your arrival. If you have any questions about which forms are needed for your visit, please feel free to contact our office and we will help clarify what is required.

  1. My appointment is booked and all my paperwork is complete. Is there anything else I can do?

We recommend that patients come prepared with a list of their questions and concerns in order to ensure that all relevant points are addressed during your visit. If you have a specific issue that has brought you to our practice, please be prepared to list your symptoms in full, including start date and level of severity. We often find that patients who come to their appointment prepared in this way do not require the same level of follow-up care as those patients who are less prepared and tend to recall questions/concerns post-appointment.

Ultimately, patients have placed their trust in our practice, and we are proud to offer the quality of care those facing urogynecological issues deserve. If you have an upcoming appointment, you can be confident in knowing that we will do all we can to not only address your issues but also make your visit a pleasant experience.
